I finished Room by Emma Donoghue yesterday, and I loved it. It was an unusual story line (sadly, we all know about Jaycee Dugard and her kidnapping, but Room was written before Dugard's story broke) written from the perspective of the 5 year old who has never been outside of Room. His language is confusing and a bit jumbled, but once you get the hang of it, it goes very quickly.
Now I am on to The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach. My brother, father, and husband all read it and loved it (and B does not often finish books!), so it's my turn. I think it was also one of the NY Times Books of the Year.
