Book Club!

Have I mentioned I'm in a small book club with such a lovely group of women? We're all moms, sometimes we read the books, and we have a great time. We just finished The Help by Kathryn Stockett



It was fantastic! We all loved it and it prompted some interesting discussions about race, childhood, and culture. We couldn't help but think about all of the nannies here in NYC and how the relationship between the children, the mothers, and the nannies really is. Really, though, we just want to know how the nannies feel. Just go read it.



Next up we are reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls.



I am about 100 pages into it (it's a very quick read), and it is an amazing story of the author's childhood that at times seems unbelievable. So far, so good.
