Day 221 (Tuesday, August 7):
we had such a nice day at the beach today.
the kids played and snacked and had a ball.
it wasn't too hot, the sun wasn't glaring down on us -
it was perfect!
apparently, sometime over the last two days
there was a tidal surge
which left a dramatic drop off
from the main part of the beach down to the water.
the kids loved sliding and jumping off of this mini cliff,
and it was so much fun that no one even played with any of the toys we brought.
grateful for another great day with great friends, the beach,
and the tidal surge.
