365 gratitude project: Days 175 - 177

Day 175 (Friday, June 22):

after a nice dinner out to celebrate my parents' anniversary,
we came home to find that none of the girls' pjs were clean.
they were thrilled to wear these kimonos
(aka my dad's ridiculously old and soft undershirts) to bed.
as you can see,
getting them into the bathroom to brush teeth was no easy feat for their daddy!
so grateful for imaginations that allow old hanes undershirts
to become special bedtime kimonos, and of course for fun before bedtime!

Day 176 (Saturday, June 23):

we went to the beach at around 5pm for a dinner picnic and to just play.
the gals loved playing in the waves and frolicking in the sand,
and for the first time, they wanted to be buried.
as you can imagine, there was sand in every crevice, but they loved it.
so very grateful for our summer evenings at the beach.

Day 177 (Sunday, June 24):

at my parents house, there is a really fun toy closet filled with great stuff.
the girls had a tea party with their animal friends
using the same tea set i played with as a child.
grateful for the fun they had playing together and on their own
while i happily watched (and had some tea, of course!).
*broke out my nikon finally!  it had been buried because of all of the unpacking
but it was so nice to use it again.
